Gratitudes 11-29-12

I am grateful for quick reflexes and good brakes. I’m also grateful to my dad for teaching me both of those.

I’m grateful for the consultant to sit in front of my CEO yesterday that he thinks every office should have somebody like me, because our stuff was THAT good.

I’m grateful that the friend with the chest pain and insanely high heart rate was smart enough to go to the hospital and not brush it off.

I know I’ve said this before, but I am grateful that I am able to run, even if it’s not as fast as I’d like.

I’m VERY grateful that the shit-storm I thought I was walking into turned out to only be an unplanned meeting.

I’m grateful that my energy work is progressing, even if I can’t always see it

I’m grateful that the gym is close enough to the house to make morning workouts realistic.

Gratitudes 11-27-12

I’m grateful that even though I was crazy late for this morning’s meeting, I wasn’t as late as the boss 😉

I got my first “good job” comment today for the first time in a while. I miss getting those.

I am grateful for my family. They had a hard time in the beginning, but I sometimes forget just how blessed I am that they are as loving and accepting as they are. I get reminded when I see friends struggle with lack of acceptance in their lives and I hurt for them. I wish there was a way for me to help.

I’m grateful for sore muscles, that remind me to keep working.

Gratitudes 11-25-12

Today I’m grateful for rest. Not just because I’m tired, but because I thankfully do not need to work every day just to keep a roof over my head. I can take today just for me; nobody to take care of, no disasters, no problems. Just me, the TV and a warm blanket. I adore spending time with people I love but it’s nice every one in a while to just turn off the world.

Getting in and out of the city was a breeze, and a whole lot less expensive than I anticipated

I rocked out my interview. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I got to spend a great dinner with my mom and dad for their birthdays

I look snazzy in my new suit

I’m smart. And I’m grateful for that. Dangit. 🙂

Gratitudes 11-23-12

I skipped yesterday on purpose. I felt like posting gratitudes on thanksgiving was kind of obvious, and since everybody and their grandmother in the US does it on that one day, I decided to give them that day and resume as normal today.

So what in my life am I grateful for today?

My parents are awesome and gifted me the gym membership I’ve been wanting for my birthday.

They also sent me home with about 4 meals worth of thanksgiving leftovers. My fridge no longer looks barren.

NYCTF has weekend interviews. And I have one. Tomorrow. I’m excited!

I’m grateful that my sis and so many of my friends are teachers and were able to help me put my presentation together and really give me an edge.

I’m also grateful for the friends that let me try my demo out on them.

I’m grateful for my car and the independence it grants me.

I’m grateful that I know so much about life science that I had to narrow DOWN what to teach, instead of struggling to come UP with something.

Gratitudes 11-19-12

I think I might actually have a friend at work. (gasp)

I got to have a great chat with a friend

I’m grateful for heating pads and Advil PM

I finally decided on my next piece of body art. Now to find an artist and save up for it…

There are things about myself I don’t like, but for the first time I’ve somehow found the inspiration and resources to change them.

Gratitudes 11-18-12

I finally got to meet my adorable nephew and spend time with him, my niece my bro and sis-in-law.

Got out of the traffic jam JUST as my gas light was coming on.

I’m making small improvements that are making me feel better about myself

I may not be a super expert in something, but I’m pretty good at a whole lot of things.
